Number Patterns

Unit 1 is all about number sense and being able to recognize patterns.  Classes 622 and 623 have already explored Number Patterns today, 9/12, so they are already familiar with sequences and the Fibonacci Sequence.  624 will explore Number Patterns on Monday.  If you are interested in learning more about the Fibonacci Sequence, you can visit the links below.

It is very important that we begin having meaningful conversations during class.  It is also very important we listen to each other during class discussions and follow along during share to insure that we understand the work being presented.  Below is the conversation starters handout I gave to most of you in class.  If you need to reference this handout in order to come up with something to say in a class discussion please do so.







Next week we will briefly explore Arithmetic and Geometric Sequences and prime numbers.  Feel free to look some stuff up to prepare yourself for these lessons.
